Billsie is the definition of the word cool. He probably came out of the womb wearing a pair of Rayban’s! On the pitch, it’s a similar story. His football brain is second to none, which is a good job as the years haven’t been kind in the pace stakes! Who needs it when you’re always a yard ahead of the game in your head though hey mate? ;) Seriously though, having someone of Billsie’s quality and experience join the club has been a real bonus. He knows what’s needed to win games and is a real help to some of the younger players. He also has a lot of experience on the coaching side, which has and hopefully will continue to be very useful in the future.

Billsie came on tour to Brighton last year, which in my opinion always marks out the wheat from the chaff and I’m sure will say he had a ball! Apart perhaps from the fact that he got asked for I.D. on the second night! Being 33 years of age (!) he didn’t think he’d need to carry any and subsequently got sent packing!!! Personally though, I think it was cos he was just too damn cool for them Brighton nightspots…….
