COMMENTS

Clayton joined the club at the start of our 4^th season and as a result helped us push forward with our aim of expanding into two sides. Quickly realising he was past it, he volunteered to be the guy that picks the team, stand on the side in the wind and rain and then get blamed for every bad result that comes along!!! In fairness, he plays the part well and has been a pleasure to have on board the management set up of the club. He’s not really past it, don’t let the grey hair fool you, he’s only 19!!! He can actually play a bit too but being the martyr that he is, generally stands back and lets others earn the on pitch plaudits.

Away from the pitch, Clayton continues to be completely selfless. He always makes sure the squad is in good spirits by continuing to wear his favourite jacket – the one with the racoon attached to the collar – which always ensures a good laugh all round. He likes to tell stories of his boxing exploits too, which reminds me that he’s quite hard really and so I’d better stop ripping him!
