New Dan

COMMENTS:

Dan, quickly retitled New Dan, joined the club at the beginning of last season. Following in the footsteps of pal Damon after some time out, he decided that he needed to get back into action. After making his debut on the wing, New Dan was still short of fitness and rusty after several years out, but after regularly training it was plain to see there was potential here. Arguably the quickest at the club (although that's yet to be proved in a race), New Dan made a career changing move to full back in order of some regular game time. He took to it like a duck to water and with his rapid acceleration, good marking abilities and marvellous balance, he's comfortable on both right and left sides of the pitch, although he's still nurturing his left peg.

No doubt about it, he's under the '1 direction' plan to eventually take over the 1st team and the potential is there. A regular trainer and despite slacking slightly on Toms runs and Glenns push ups(c'mon mate, pick your knees up), New Dan shows plenty of enthusiasm for the game. Also a regular back at the hotel after the game with the '1 direction' brigade, New Dan may seem quiet, but get him on the social media sites and you can't stop him whacking his opinions into his keypad. Absolutely loves the game. Here's to many good seasons ahead.
