JT is a Fireman. Insert your own helmet/hose jokes at this point! JT arrived in a blaze of glory midway through our first season and he proved to be a real life saver. He has a great engine and has often carried peop……..oh I could go all day with this…!

I’m sure J won’t mind me saying that coming into football in his thirties on the back of a twenty odd year rugby background, he was probably thinking he’d be able to wind his body down slowly with a few leisurely games of footy on a Saturday afternoon. I think he’d now readily admit that football has pushed him differently but just as hard as all his years throwing the egg about. Luckily for us, J is as fit as they come and his ability to adapt into a footballer has been unbelievable. The guy is class. His touch and vision are second to none and he compliments perfectly the marauding, in your face style of fellow midfielder Tom, with an assured, calm style of play that makes the game look so simple.

A huge Liverpool fan (his boy’s name is Sami! At least that’s how I like to think it’s spelt), J is a practical joker off the pitch. He’s a sodding wind up merchant infact! A top bloke though, hopefully J will, knee permitting, be involved with the squad for a good few seasons yet. Oh, and he and his fire fighting pals will fit you fire alarms for free if you ask nicely!
