Ummm……..ummmm……..ummm…….haha, tough one this as Meurig is definitely the quiet mans footballer! Not that that’s a bad thing mind but he is definitely a guy who is happy to sit back, relax and let others hog the limelight. That can be said on and off the pitch as Meurig goes about his business quietly on both fronts. On the pitch he lets his football do the talking. Simply a quality footballer is Meurig. Touch, vision, pace and an eye for goal (that goal against Bettws last year…unbelievable!), he’s got the lot. In keeping with his nature though, he’s also the complete team player too. Meurig knows he’s part of a squad and as a forward player appreciates rotation is sometimes a necessary part of the game. He never complains however and when he gets his chance he is all about making a positive contribution to the side. Off the pitch like I said, Meurig is one laid back, relaxed guy. He supports Arsenal and even when they bang a goal in he almost looks embarrassed when he celebrates! Very much a team player in this respect also though, as Meurig is an essential member of the Cwmcarn FC social network. He can be likened to a featherweight boxer too, though one that gets in the ring with heavyweights. Hey? I hear you cry………well, he’s clearly punching above his weight in the missus stakes isn’t he!! ;) |
