Sam AKA Bear Lump joined Cwmcarn at the end of the 2013 season. Despite not officially signing, he won over the Cwmcarn folklore instantly by posing on Twitter with a Cwmcarn shirt, much to the disgust of rivals Abercarn. On the pitch, he was an instant success, settling alongside his 1 direction team mates. Bear Lump has all the tools a good striker needs and is even capable of doing the occasional shift in midfield. Quick, hard working, good passer, great eye for goal, likes running at defenders and is always likely to hit the target from most places if given time to strike with his lethal left peg. Despite being a natural lazy bugger, happily sleeping away most of his days, Bear Lump has worked his socks off in training since pre-season, probably appearing more than anybody else. Been in and out of the 1st and 2nd team but has notched up goals in the process without complaint. His goal tally is as prolific as anybodys in Cwmcarn history, which is just what the club need.
 
Off the pitch Bear Lump isn't the biggest of drinkers but is more than happy soaking up the atmosphere letting others take the limelight as he's listening with his coke. Still getting bigger and stronger and finally realising he's around 6 ft 2, Bear Lump has started winning more than his fair share in the air too. Still much more to come from this young starlet.
