This is another profile
long overdue. Young Wayne was scouted by secretary Andy Penduck, where
he was running rings around 10 year olds outside his house. Andy ignored
the massive age gap and clearly saw something in him, where he was
persuaded to sign from North Gwent outfit Pentwymawr, a club that didn't
give him a chance. Due to his unique running style, he was nicknamed
Turkey, as he looks like he's about to gobble up something when he does
occasionally go on a rampage. A very talented player with the ball at
his feet, Turkeys only obstacle was his diet commitments, as he has an
unhealthy obsession with fast food joints. Due to this, he patiently
waited for any opportunities that fell his way. He was even brave enough
to take a run of games as stand in goalie when none of his team mates
showed the bravery to stand between the sticks. It wasn't too long after
this where the Turk, started getting more frequent opportunities up
front, and soon earned the title of 'super sub', always a threat when
coming on and capable of notching a goal. Terrific ball control, quick
feet, a lovely dip of the shoulder and a low centre of gravity makes
Turkey very deceptive to his opponents. Also capable of the 'impossible'
having arguably scored Cwmcarns best ever goal, plus a dramatic winner
straight from the centre circle earlier on in the season. Last season
was Turkeys most prolific where he won the 2nd team golden boot with 13
goals.
