Welly clearly comes from a very patriotic family. Real name Llewellyn, he also has a brother named Meureg and parents Pobol and Cwm! Welly came in to the club in the summer of 2008 as one of a new crop of players who have allowed us to set up a second team. From the moment he first turned up for training in his Liverpool top I knew he’d fit in! His quality shone through immediately and he is now a regular for the first team as his quiet, no nonsense displays have made him one of the first names on the teamsheet. His performances have been consistently brilliant and he now has an air of confidence that compliments his excellent pace and reading of the game.

Welly is a quiet guy on and off the pitch but one of the nicest blokes you could meet. A sociable fella, he’s always happy to have a few pints on a Saturday night after a game and from The Hotel can usually be found with his bro and best mucka Nozzle in The Market.
